Something Meaningful (2019)

gum machine, steel, lacquer, cotton, plastic, polyester, glue, artificial eyelashes, 50x50x170cm

Something Meaningful.

A chewing gum machine that sells for a one-Euro coin a small capsule

in which you find a white silk pillow. On the silk pillow is a single

black eyelash attached to it. A homage to the pay-to-play notion

where the lack of resources shuts one out of the playing field.

However once paid, one can wish for the world through the blow

of an eyelash.

The everlasting eyelash
